About this item: Arriving at a stately peak, this celadon ceramic candleholder guards a world of floral magic ready to bloom with visions of light. Employing negative space, Kanda creates natural splendor using traditional gah sah lat technique for carving fruits and vegetables. A radiant composition makes this a beautiful touch for an intimate encounter. - Candle(s) not included About our Artist: Thailand's Kanda says, 'I became very interested in celadon as a result of my mother's large collection. She said each piece represented the wisdom of the ancient Thai people. I traveled to a celadon workshop to learn how to create these ceramics, and a craftsperson who was closing his workshop gave me his molds. A young sculptor, Mr. Prajuap, built the kiln and we now work together. We are also creating jobs for local craftspeople.'
