Grapefruit (Citrus x paradisi) is a tree with a rounded or elongated crown (9-15 m in height). The leaves are leathery, dark green, thin, long (up to 15 cm), without stipules. The flowers are bisexual, white, large, solitary or in small-flowered corymbose inflorescences. Perianth is double, five-membered. The tepals are loose. The fruits are hesperidia, juicy, 10-15 cm in diameter, large, spherical, with a thick light yellow dense peel or grayish-green, often pink flesh.
