Bertech Solder Wave Masking Tapes, also known as Wave Solder Tapes, are ideal for use in solder wave masking and high temperature paint operations. They are also recognized as high temperature masking tapes. These solder wave masking tapes are made from 6 mil thick crepe paper with rubber adhesive that can be removed cleanly without leaving any residue. They can withstand molten solder for 5-8 seconds at 500 degrees F. Applicable for general purpose masking, heat insulation, high temperature painting, wave soldering during circuit board assembly, masking of metal, plastic and rubber surfaces where staining is a problem, high temperature holding, and splicing. Removes without adhesive residue after exposure to heat/chemical. Eliminates paint and primer flaking. Thickness: 6 Mil. Adhesion to steel: 34 oz./in. Tensile strength: 20 lbs./in.
