Manufactured from compressed, non-woven fiber and uniform grit distribution, our EXL unitized wheel produces consistent, professional results for weld polishing, aircraft part deburring, or blending and finishing on a variety of metals, plastics, and composites. We chose EXL material in higher densities to make it extremely tough, delivering aggressive cutting power for effective edge and corner deburring without damaging the part. Lower densities are soft and conformable and work well for finishing contoured surfaces. This disc also features the 3M(TM) Roloc(TM) Quick Release System for fast and easy disc changes. Roloc discs allow use of both the edge and surface of the wheel without disruption of mounting hardware. Available grades: Fine, Medium, and Course. Our 3M(TM) Roloc(TM) Quick Change Discs are smaller discs that are designed to be easily and quickly attached to a Roloc(TM) Disc Pad (sold separately) so you can conveniently change discs to suit different tasks or multi-step finishing processes. The Roloc system provides a secure attachment even for heavy applications, and the variety of 3M Roloc Discs available allows you to change from one application to another in seconds. We develop Scotch-Brite(TM) Surface Conditioning products with abrasives embedded in nonwoven nylon or synthetic fibers. The combination of abrasives with the fibers creates an abrasive system that delivers consistent results over the life of the product. The open belt material runs cool, reducing the risk of discoloration and part deformation. The fibers are load resistant and keep the abrasive minerals cutting at high performance by limiting fiber clogging, which also extends disc life.
