About this item: The blue moon tempers his ardor as the sun declares his love. Depicting a cosmic eclipse, J. Blas designs a colorful wall sculpture to hold a candle. Solar rays suggest the feathered headdresses of Aztec royalty. Themes of duality – good and bad, light and dark, sun and moon – appear throughout ancient Mexican thought. - Candle(s) not included - Hand-crafted item -- color, size and/or motif may vary slightly About our Artist: Mexican artisan J. Blas has always loved handicrafts. 'When I was 17, I started my own ceramic workshop. But I changed directions and began to work in wrought iron and blown glass. I experimented with sheets of iron to give my works more movement. We cut the metal sheets, hammer them into shape and weld them before treating to retard rust. Every piece created at my workshop goes hand in hand with originality, design and quality. We are always developing new designs and products.'
